Ashley S. Harris Named to Mobile Bay’s 2017 Class of 40 Under 40
Adams and Reese Mobile partner Ashley Steven Harris was named to the Mobile Bay Magazine 2017 Class of 40 Under 40, the publication announced on Thursday, Jan. 4.
Mobile Bay’s 40 Under Forty is a program designed to recognize the top individuals younger than age 40 who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence and a commitment to the Bay area community. While most of the winners are selected from the business and professional community, honorees are also selected from other areas, including the arts, medicine, education, community involvement and more
Harris joined Adams and Reese in 2003 and focuses on the practice areas of corporate law, transactions, mergers and acquisitions, forestry and real estate. He represents both businesses and individuals in matters including commercial property and timberland acquisitions and sales, real estate development and finance, acquisitions and sales of businesses, complex corporate transactions and financing transactions.
A 2000 graduate of Mississippi State University, Harris completed his J.D. from the University of Mississippi Law School in 2003 and is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Mobile Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce and Mobile United.
Active both in and away from the office, Harris is a member of the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program and the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science School Board, and serves as a trustee for the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.
Harris was selected to the Leadership Mobile Class of 2010 and participated in the Alabama Forestry Association’s Leadership Development Program. In 2010, he was recognized as an Alabama Rising Star® for his work in real estate.
