Jaimmé A. Collins to Receive Inspiration Award From InspireNOLA Charter Schools

Jaimmé A. Collins, partner and diversity committee chair at Adams and Reese’s New Orleans office, was named one of six recipients of the Inspiration Award from InspireNOLA Charter Schools. The award is presented to individuals in the New Orleans area who achieve beneficial feats both personally and for the community.

Collins, who is being recognized for her legal advice and support in the founding of InspireNOLA and her continuous work to support organizations and programs that directly impact young people in New Orleans, and the other five honorees will be formally recognized during the Inspire To Empower Gala & Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 7, in the Alice M. Harte Courtyard and Atrium. Founded in 2013, InspireNOLA Charter Schools operates a network of three public charter schools in the Crescent City and is currently the highest-performing charter management organization in New Orleans and the only network with a multiple A-graded schools. The four pillars of InspireNOLA Schools are positive culture, academic framework, accountability and continuous growth.

The Inspiration Award is the latest honor bestowed on Collins since the start of the 2017 calendar year. She was previously named to the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC) and the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) in January and June, respectively. Collins was also named to the 2018 Edition of “The Best Lawyers In America” by Best Lawyers® in August and among the Top 15 Business Women In Louisiana by the National Diversity Council earlier this month.

With Adams and Reese, Collins provides general corporate governance advice and handles related litigation for clients. She counsels clients on contractual and general business issues as well as compliance issues related to government regulatory agencies.

Collins has conducted a number of internal investigations and is experienced in quickly assessing risks and managing the response with clients by working with investigating governmental authorities, the media and outside consultants. She also has handled commercial litigation involving breach of contract, disputes between corporate directors and shareholders, property disputes, insurance coverage and products liability.
